I am so excited to be sharing something with you today!
My new friend Shauna has this beautiful cottage that she and her hubby remodeled.
What I love the most about it is that it isn't overdone. Its not pretentious. Its a place that you can walk into and immediately feel at home.
Not everything is new. In fact most of it isn't. Some of the key items came from craigslist. {Seriously, I want to be a craigslist stalker after seeing some of what they "found".}
My favorite room is the kitchen.
They saved money in key ways like getting granite that looks like marble and recycling items such as the pantry door.
The kitchen floor is painted. {Love that!}
This range hood is so unique and fits this kitchen perfectly.
The pantry door was a find at one of the Habitat for Humanity ReStores.
When they removed the drywall they found these beautiful wood walls. Most got a fresh coat of white paint but they left this wall as an accent.
I'm telling you this window seat is as comfy as it looks!
This is the view down the main hall when you first come in the front door.
And this is looking back towards the front door.
This is the first floor powder room. I call it the Harry Potter bathroom because its under the stairs, for those few of you who haven't seen the movies or read the book! :)
This is the upstairs hallway. Isn't the texture of the wood yummy? This place oozes character!
The upper level has two bathrooms and three bedrooms.
This is the hall bath.
Bedroom #1
The bunk room. The mattresses are from IKEA and I have to say they are the most comfortable bunk bed mattresses I've ever slept on.
The master.
I love blue and especially all of the mix of patterns and textures that make it feel really cozy.
This bathroom is beautiful!
The barbershop sink is another craigslist find.
Here's the front porch.
So, thanks Shauna for sharing this beautiful place with us!
