After Christmas Decor

     I'm not one to delay the dismantelling of the Christmas decor. I love Christmas, its just that I'm always ready to move on too! Getting the tree off the main floor always seems to make the living room feel so much bigger too. And with the Christmas decor safely tucked away its always fun to tweak the everyday decor and come up with something different.

     We had the flu again this week. There is so much crud going around I'm sure it was inevitable. The silver lining was that I could spend lots of time at home with the kiddos. We made tie dye shirts {thanks to a kit from Uncle Ethan and Aunt Ashley}, did lots of sledding {ok that was just the kids}, and I finally caught up on the laundry!!!! {if only for this afternoon!}

     With the Christmas decor down I decided to still keep a little sparkle and added more silver in for the winter season. I also decided that a few ornaments could be winterish as well even though Christmas is done!

     I love these little balls. They reminded me of snow balls {I found them at Hobby Lobby}. After getting them in place my son and I decided that even more than snow balls, they look like the little world on Horton Hears a Who that the elephant carries around. So who knows who is living among them! ;)

     I wanted to keep the antlers in the decor so I decided to try them in the fireplace.

And the cute little tree looks wintery yet without the bow on top.

     For the hutch I swapped out the ornaments and went with the silvers.

     Come on back later this week and I'll show you how I made these frames silver without using paint!
